Hockney Engineers “Ute Trays & Service Bodies” had the pleasure of manufacturing a new
tyre service body for Bridgestone Service Centre in Bacchus Marsh. The brief was simple,
manufacture a light weight but highly durable tyre service body,that could handle the day
to day use of a busy regional branch. Owner Ian Barnett purchased a Isuzu Dmax and had a pedders
suspension upgrade done. This gave the unit a greater payload and allowed the unit no to drop
at the rear when under load.
We started the build with the ever reliable “Hockney Alcan Tray”
and built our light weight mesh cage on it. Incorporating a custom tool box on the passenger side,
and a mesh cage box above the compressor for further storage.Complemented by a rear tailgate rated @ 400KG.
We then fitted LED spot lights to the passenger side as well as a Amber beacon to the front headboard
and extra 
Hazard lights to the rear. The unit has been in use now for several months and i asked Ian the owner on his
thoughts so far. Ian stated ” Unit is great, Everyone that sees it, only make positive comments”
